aThe manageable size of approximately 150 students contributes to the warm and friendly atmosphere at the school. These special conditions, as well as the targeted support given to each individual, enable personal development and the full exploitation of existing potential. To ensure the quality of the school, it is regularly inspected by SGS Société Générale de Surveillance and has been awarded the Q2E Master (Quality through Evaluation and Development) certification.
We are both a public school for young people from the Surselva region and a private school for young people from all over Switzerland and abroad. The Disentis Monastery High School & Boarding School is located on the grounds of Disentis Monastery, the oldest Benedictine monastery north of the Alps. Benedictine hospitality can also be felt and experienced in the monastery’s own hotel, which has a public restaurant.
